Kid Fonque new video "Usangikhumbula"
DJ
Kid Fonque has a new music video titled “Usangikhumbula” and it
premieres on MTV Base on Friday (4 September) at 15:55 CAT. The track
features Andy Boi, Cuebur, Jonny Miller and Okmalumkoolkat and was
recorded a while ago but a video was only recently shot due to the
hectic schedules of the artists.
Kid
Fonque (real name Allan Nicoll) released the album ‘Kid Fonque &
Friends’ in 2013, a 13-track full-length that features the likes of Zaki
Ibrahim, Charles Webster, Theo Parrish and DJ Whiskey among others,
It’s currently available on iTunes and songs from the album continue to
receive a lot of love from various local radio stations including youth
radio station YFM.
He announced news of
the new music video to fans on his Facebook page and explained why it
took so long to get the video out saying, “With the support of some DJ's
and radio stations the song became an underground anthem. Finally we
all managed to get together, waiting for Jonny to come visit us from the
UK and we finished the video almost 2 years later!”
2015
sees plenty of new projects on the horizon for the DJ, label manager,
promoter and producer, including remixes of Beebar, Mark de Clive-Lowe
and Urban Renewal Project and a full length collaboration with London’s
D-Malice due for release on Arco which features a rich and varied cast
of artists including Melo B Jones, Bhubesii, Jonny Miller, Atjazz, Ruby
White and many more.
